Genshin Impact is a free-to-play action-adventure game with over 50 million monthly users. Given its success, developers are consistently adding new content to the game. Read on to find out some of the things that have been added with patch 3.4.

Two new characters

One of the new characters is called Alhaitham. He is a Dendro 5-Star character that wields a sword. As far as lore goes, he is the current scribe of the Sumeru Akademiya, a true intellectual. His primary Elemental Skill allows him to rush forward and attack once. If you charge up the skill, you can target multiple opponents with this skill. After this charged attack ends, a Chisel-Light Mirror will form in that location. Any of his attacks that pass through these mirrors will be converted to unavoidable Dendro damage. His ultimate skill deals multiple instances of AOE Dendro damage. Any mirrors on the field will be consumed and increase the number of damage instances.

Yaoyao is the second newly announced character. He is a 4-Star Dendro character that uses a polearm. His primary skill is called Raphanus Sky Cluster, which shoots out White Jade Radishes that explode upon contact with enemies. It deals Dendro damage while also healing friendly characters in an AoE range. If one of the radishes fails to hit an enemy or an ally, they will remain on the ground and explode on contact. Yaoyao’s ultimate is similar to his primary ability, with the bonus of increasing his speed and Dendro resistance.

A new domain

Domains are instanced dungeons where players can farm upgrade materials and Primogems. Fane of Panjvahe is one of the newest domains in the Sumeru Desert. You must reach Adventure Rank 28 and fulfill other criteria to unlock it. The lore behind this domain is about oasis dwellers that have traveled the desert for years, finally deciding to rest in this asylum. You will have to face plenty of enemies inside, including a band of bandits.

City of the Deceased is the second Domain to come out with patch 3.4. Apparently, the lords of Gurabad, that ruled over Sumeru, created this underground tomb to seal away the dead. But years have passed since then, and this Domain is now under the control of Wenut and Fungi. To unlock this Domain, you will have to reach Adventure rank 32.

Content patch 3.4 came out on January 18, 2023. If you want to learn more about it you can read the full patch notes right here. And if you haven’t logged into Genshin Impact in a while, you should know that you can get almost 600 Primogems as compensation for recent Maintenance periods.
