Last of Us developer Naughty Dog has just released a new video showcasing some of the dedicated features that the upcoming PC version will receive.
Hot on the heels of the immense success that The Last of Us TV show has garnered, Naughty Dog is set to launch the first game for PC at the end of this month. And it seems that this won’t just be a regular port. The game will feature all of the graphical advancements of the remastered version and some new ones that will only be available on the PC version. Regarding hardware requirements, developers have stated you will need a minimum of 16 GB of RAM. If you want to run the game in 2K resolutions or above, you will also need a competent GPU, at least an Nvidia RTX 3060.
Gamers with a top-end PC should have no issues running this version of The Last of Us 1. But for those who don’t, Naughty Dog promised that this port will be compatible with AMD FSR 2 and Nvidia DLSS. Regarding gameplay, this version of the game will feature permadeath and speedrun game modes. Permadeath is self-explanatory, die once, and you must restart the entire game. The speedrunning mode is unique, especially for such a story-driven game. So far, the record is under three hours.
The Last of Us Part 1 will be released for PC on Steam and Epic Games Store on March 28. In the meantime, you should pick up the TV show if you haven’t watched it yet, since it just finished airing.
