Even though most fans are waiting for the upcoming DLC, Elden Ring is still being played by a hardcore base of fans that thrive in multiplayer.

Patch 1.10 has just come out for Elden Ring on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Microsoft Windows. Most of the changes are focused on balancing PvP even further. Let’s take a look at these changes.

Balance Changes

  • The poise damage of all weapons and some spells and incantations has been increased.
  • Certain skills, spells, incantations, and certain weapon attacks that generate poise now have more poise. This is a great change for PvP since poise was generally an afterthought for most builds. All of these also give you damage reduction, ensuring that you can tank some extra damage when using them.
  • Angles from which you can successfully land critical hits have been enhanced, meaning backstabs and the like are easier to pull off.
  • Quick Step and Hound Step have a lower invulnerability window, which is a fair change since both of these skills were over-used in PvP.
  • Certain skills, incantations, and items will now give less damage reduction.
  • Critical hit damage has been increased all around.
  • Your recovery time after missing a critical hit has been lowered.
  • Any attacks that happen after missing a critical hit will have increased poise damage.

Bug fixes

  • An issue while getting hit when wielding certain weapons that generate poise has been noticed. The player’s position would shift due to those hits, and this has finally been fixed.
  • A bug that prevented certain spells and incantations from dealing damage while under the effect of particular items or skills has been fixed.
  • The Sacred Order skill would cause it’s effect to continue after switching weapons.
  • Text has been corrected throughout the game for some languages.
