Since it was first created, Roblox has been making the rounds in the gaming world, especially among younger audiences.

What is Roblox?
Roblox started out as a small project all the way back in 2006. It was intended as a building tool allowing anyone to create their own games, even though with limited graphics. But even though characters look like they’re Lego figures and everything around is low poly, it’s exactly that creative freedom that made Roblox a huge success. Nowadays, you can find a whole plethora of excellent games made entirely in Roblox. Everything from racers to FPS games that emulate the likes of CoD can be found in the world of Roblox.
There are also countless games that make use of characters from various IPs, which has led to some dicey situations for the developers. Most recently they’ve been accused of allowing games that basically offer gambling for children on their platform. But they’ve assured their community that they’re doing their best to put a stop to this ASAP. Despite all of this, Roblox is still a great place for kids to try their hand at creating their own game.
Can you get Roblox on Nintendo Switch?
Sadly for people who generally like to play games on the Nintendo Switch, there is no Roblox port currently available for the system. And it seems that the developers don’t have any plans for such a future port either. This is partly due to the fact that they have a partnership with Microsoft, which has led to an Xbox Series X/S port for the game. So currently the only platforms that Roblox is available on are Xbox consoles and PC.
Another good reason why this port would be unfeasible is the fact that the developer tools are pretty difficult to operate from a controller. Even people that enjoy the Xbox variant of the game say so. Luckily for them, the game does feature full cross-platform, meaning players can create games on PC for people to enjoy on the Xbox.
Even though Roblox has been faced with a plethora of controversies over the years, it still manages to bring in millions of daily users, and not all of them are children. Plenty of adults actually enjoy the games or the development tools, making this a success that now can be compared to the likes of Minecraft. So even though Roblox for Nintendo Switch is just a pipe dream, the game is still well worth checking out.
