Blizzard’s epic journey is here! Dragonflight is the ninth expansion of the eternal World of Warcraft and is now live, starting on the 28th of November.
The Dragon Isles can now be explored, revealing long-lost secrets, treasures and adventures waiting to be discovered. Let’s dive in and find out what’s new in the latest WOW expansion.
What features come along with the expansion?
Dragonflight is quite a big addition to World of Warcraft and improves already existing things while, at the same time, adding completely new features. You can see below what this means.
New Class – Dracthyr Evoker
A brand-new hero class, the Evoker is a spell-casting warrior, descending from the Drachtyr humanoid-dragon race. The class was added in a recent pre-patch and it is based on mobility and utility, with the possibility of choosing between damage or sustain. Oh, and did I mention it is fun to play?
Starting Zone – Forbidden Reach
For the new Dracthyr Evoker class, Blizzard added the Forbidden Reach as a starting zone, which is a very different-looking landscape from the ones World of Warcraft players are used to.
New Beginning – Exile’s Reach
This can be an amazing starting point for new players, and veterans as well. The new introductory path has all it takes to get started in World of Warcraft.
Talent System Upgrade
Dragonflight comes with the biggest update to the talent system, offering more customization possibilities.
Major Factions
The Dragon Isles residents, the Major Factions, are ready to give reputation points and rewards in exchange for help. No good deed goes unpunished, right?
Professions – Crafting
A new and updated profession system comes with the Dragonflight expansion. Crafters around the World of Warcraft can now prove their skills.
New Dragonflight Dungeons
Eight new dungeons await. Four level-up and four max-level dungeons are now accessible in the game.
Dragonflight – Season 1
The first season goes live on December 12 and players will be able to access a new raid, a rotation of dungeons and a fresh PVP season.
Blizzard now offers more Accessibility features
A fresh new look is now part of the game, with customizable settings while still having the classic World of Warcraft Feeling. Blizzard also added a few accessibility updates to make sure everyone enjoys World of Warcraft.
WoW Companion – Updated mobile application
Blizzard’s mobile application helps you stay up-to-date with the new land’s exploration even when you are not at the computer. The app features a few other expansions and lets you manage adventures easily.
