This is how a live-action Half-Life drama series would look like.
I sometimes like to dabble with Midjourney’s image AI system to visualize whatever’s on my mind at a certain time. Today, I was playing Half-Life 2 Episode 2 and thought… Hmm, wouldn’t be interesting to render ‘real-life’ looking versions of my favourite Half-Life characters? I did just that, entered Midjourney, and started prompting away, using various screenshots and images of Half-Life characters so that the AI system would have a reference point. Afterwards, I completed inputting prompts like “real-life”, “portrait”, “photo-realistic”, and a whole lot of other ones, to get some realistic images resembling Half-Life characters. Quite a number of hours went into these.
The Results: I’m especially pleased with how Dr Kleiner was rendered, it looks pulled straight from a badass TV adaptation of Half-Life. Now that’s a show I would watch, but only if it’s 100% produced by Valve themselves… but I digress. The G-Man is a lot creepier than in all Half-Life games if anybody could ever imagine that. Barney, Gordon and Eli look very real, almost like an actual photo, while Alyx and Dr Breen resemble video game characters but from another dimension. Enough chit-chat, here they are:
