The Assassin’s Creed Community Relief campaign, a two-week fundraising effort to aid individuals impacted by the earthquakes in Syria and Turkey, is being launched by key members of the Ubisoft team.
Following the February 6th terrible string of earthquakes, northern Syria and south-central Turkey were badly impacted. The first one registered a 7.8, while the second one, which occurred nine hours later, registered a 7.7. There were hundreds of aftershocks that followed them. After the dust settled, tens of thousands of people were trapped in the wreckage after hundreds of buildings collapsed. Even though there have been reports of 50,000 deaths, it might be weeks before a complete death toll is tallied.

What is the Assassin’s Creed Community Relief?
According to the above tweet from their official page, the Assassin’s Creed Community Relief is a community-led initiative by Assassin’s Creed fans to raise money for the rehabilitation of Turkey and Syria and to provide assistance to people who have been left without food, water, or shelter. The group’s website states: “Our goal is to mobilize Assassin’s Creed fans around the world to contribute to our fundraiser for people impacted by the earthquakes and their aftereffects”. With the aid of various Assassin’s Creed content producers and community websites, such as AC Landmarks, AC Sisterhood, Access The Animus, the Assassin’s Creed Subreddit, and many more, the fundraising campaign got underway yesterday.
The Community Relief campaign surpassed its initial target of $5,000 USD in under 21 hours. Today’s events are carried on by SophiaEA16, who leads us through the streets of Istanbul while carrying Ezio. Tomorrow at 1 PM ET, streamer LeoK Rogue will start broadcasting Rogue Academy LIVE (10 AM PT). For a complete schedule of the fundraiser’s interviews, game streams, podcasts, and any news, their webpage covers everything you need to know.
The Assassin’s Creed Community Relief initiative is offering a ton of gifts that you can win in an effort to increase interest and the likelihood that people would donate. Among them are a PureArts Amunet the Hidden One 1/8th-scale PVC statue, an Assassin’s Creed 15th Anniversary vinyl box set, 20 Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection digital game codes for the Nintendo Switch, several Valhalla and Ragnarok game codes, art books, board games, and more. Also, there are two Assassin’s Creed 15th Anniversary Collector’s Boxes up for grabs, but they are only available to higher-level donors. Another great idea might have been adding the upcoming Ubisoft game, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, to the prize pool, as we can see it is now available to preorder.
We really respect the Assassin’s Creed Community Relief initiative and hope to see more organizations doing the same when their help is most needed.
