What is CES 2023 and when is it taking place?
If you didn’t already know, CES(Consumer Electronic Show) is one of the biggest events in terms of technology. Renowned companies or rising talents showcase upcoming projects during this conference. The show takes place in Las Vegas every year during the first days of January. This year’s edition is the first one to run at full capacity since the global pandemic in 2020.
Let’s see what did Sony announce this year.
Project Leonardo – Accessibility Controller kit for PS5
This year Sony presented a heart-warming accessibility project, which is exactly as they describe it on the Playstation Blog: “Designed to remove barriers to gaming and help players with disabilities play more easily, more comfortably and for longer periods on PS5”.
Gaming is fun and everybody should be able to do it. With Project Leonardo, Sony intends to break barriers and raise to bar in helping every gamer fully enjoy the happiness of play.
The accessory was designed in such a way that it has numerous hardware and software customizations. Project Leonardo is a greatly flexible kit that works collaboratively with other devices, to expand accessibility to a new level.
PSVR2 news from CES 2023
As the new PSVR2 is getting closer to its release, Sony confirms what we all expected. The VR hit, Beat Saber will be heading towards the PSVR2. This topic concerned lots of internauts over the course of last year as there was completely no information about it anywhere on the internet.
For racing fans, Sony confirmed that Gran Turismo 7 will be having PSVR2 support. Which is quite amazing considering the success the game had.
Gran Turismo: The movie revealed
Even more good news for the Gran Turismo fans. Sony presented a first look at the upcoming movie at last night’s CES 2023. The film is supposedly hitting the theatres in August. They aired a teaser that is filled with Gran Turismo racing and real-life scenes. Can you tell which is which?
Playstation 5 sales surpass 30 million units sold
While getting closer to the PS5 Pro upgrade, the PlayStation 5 sales hit the 30-million milestone. Jim Ryan told the public during CES 2023 that the PS5 shortage issue is no longer a thing. If you want a console, it is now much easier to get your hands on one.
This year keeps getting better and we can’t wait to see what other new things it will bring us!
