Any game requires some patches after launching, and Diablo 4 is no different, especially since people have been complaining about a few issues with the game’s current state.
Blizzard is preparing to launch Season 1 in Diablo 4, bringing a lot of content and balancing changes. And to get things ready before Season 1 actually starts, they’ve just launched patch 1.0.3, which brings some much needed fixes. Here are some of the most important parts of this patch.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed the issue with players not being able to complete certain Whispers
- Fixed an issue in the Cultist Refuge dungeon with enemies spawning behind the Sealed door, making it impossible to finish it
- Fixed a problem with Strongholds where your character could still take damage and die during the end cutscene
- Fixed a World Boss problem where player’s cameras wouldn’t zoom out, making it very hard not to die due to offscreen attacks
- Fixed a problem with the Spider Host mobs where their models would remain upright after exploding and dying
- Fixed an issue with Rogue players remaining invisible during PvP in the Field of Hatred after using the Concealment Skill
- Fixed a problem with group play where the HP bar of a party member would appear empty if they left your vicinity while not at full health
- Fixed an issue with Mounts where the Spur button would appear as “Not yet learned”
- Fixed an issue for players who had their game set to Russian or Spanish where they couldn’t make a Clan
- Fixed a problem with the Demon Ledger quest where players would get stuck if they sat on a chair before talking to an NPC
- Fixed an issue with the Chat bar being expanded even when Chat visibility was fully deactivated from settings
- Fixed a problem for players where the Potion Upgrade icon wouldn’t be visible while using a controller on both PC and consoles
- Fixed multiple issues in various menus where the proper text wouldn’t be accurately displayed
- Fixed issues with PvP not showing an accurate depiction of your enemy’s health bar
Gameplay Fixes
- A much asked for change, Nightmare dungeons give more experience after finishing them
- Monsters in Nightmare Dungeons will also give players a lot more XP
- Increased the amount of experience that Helltide chests give players after opening them
- Finishing individual Whispers will give you a lot more experience making them more worthwhile
- A problem was noticed with the survival-type events that can occur after you finish all the objectives in certain dungeons not giving out experience. Now they actually give you XP.
- Since plenty of people found farming the Helltides Roaming bosses pointless, they will now drop more quality loot than before
- Players can finally directly teleport to their Nightmare Dungeons
- Bonus caches that dropped from world bosses no longer have a level requirement
