Beast Gohan is coming to Dragon Ball XenoVerse2! At last!
Bandai Namco has officially announced that Dragon Ball XenoVerse 2’s second Hero of Justice pack will include Beast Gohan from Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero as a playable character, confirming what fans have been speculating for months.
XenoVerse 2 has been receiving new content from Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero and the first Hero of Justice pack included Gamma 1, Gamma 2, and Base Form Gohan’s movie outfit. The second pack was already confirmed to have Awakened Piccolo, Orange Piccolo, and another undisclosed character.
Beast Gohan shows muscles in the new video
The anticipation has been building for months, but the wait is finally over – Bandai Namco has just released a thrilling launch trailer that confirms what fans already suspected: Beast Gohan will be joining the roster of XenoVerse 2’s second Hero of Justice pack, set to release on May 17th. The recently added trailer offers an exciting glimpse of Beast Gohan’s in-game abilities, revealing that he will be a base character rather than a transformation, much like Ultra Instinct Goku and Orange Piccolo. You can check the video here:
But this reveal shouldn’t come as a surprise to keen-eyed fans, as Bandai Namco dropped some not-so-subtle hints earlier this year. A free update introduced the Beast Mode transformation for created characters, which only further fueled speculation that Beast Gohan would be making an appearance in the game. And with Beast Gohan being one of the most prominent characters from the Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero movie, it would have been a grave mistake to leave him out of this eagerly anticipated pack.
Interestingly, Beast Gohan seems to share some of the same moves and combos as created characters in Beast Mode. He can even punch behind him while facing forward and strike a stance with raised fists in the air. Although it’s possible that Bandai Namco simply borrowed some of Beast Gohan’s moves for the created character’s transformation, the character also has some exclusive abilities, such as a powerful Kamehameha and a unique block technique that he employs against Cell Max.
The trailer also revealed that the pack will feature its own story scenario based on Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, as well as seven new skill moves, four Parallel Quests, three new costumes, and different loading screen illustrations inspired by the movie. Although Beast Gohan is the highlight of the pack, the other features will offer players a unique and exciting experience.
With Beast Gohan finally joining XenoVerse 2’s battlegrounds, we can say that the game is about the get a lot more interesting and we just can’t wait to Kamehameha the living hell out of Gohan’s rivals.
