After enjoying a succesful launch on the PS5, Square Enix are looking towards making a PC port for Final Fantasy XVI.
PC gamers who are fans of the Final Fantasy series rejoice, the latest iteration of the game will be coming to your favorite platform as well. Announced during PAX East, Square Enix have come out and announced that Final Fantasy XVI will be receiving a PC port and two paid expansions. Currently Final Fantasy XVI can only be played on PlayStation 5, which kind of makes sense since Square has always had a good partnership with Sony. Producer Naoki Yoshida had this to say :
“I hope to be able to give you more information on both the upcoming DLC and the PC version before the end of the year, so please stay tuned.”

We don’t know anything about those announced DLCs yet, except that one of them will definitely be taking place in Valisthea. Currently, the game has only received a few patches that brought some cosmetics including character and weapon skins. It would seem that the exclusivity that Sony had with Square Enix might have been temporary, set to six months. So Xbox users could be in for a surprise in the near future with Final Fantasy XVI coming to their console as well. To add to that possibility are statements directly from Square Enix and Phil Spencer from Microsoft stating that they aim to bring more of their games to Microsoft platforms.
