Epic Games really invested some time in the making of Fortnite Chapter 4. Ground-breaking technology from Unreal Engine 5.1 and lots of new features are just a part of the game’s update.
Fortnite Chapter 4 uses Unreal Engine 5.1
Epic Games revealed that the game is utilizing some of the newest capabilities added in Unreal Engine 5.1 with the release of Fortnite’s fourth Chapter.
Since its release, this free-to-play game has introduced rounds of seasonal content divided by both Chapters and Seasons. The third phase of the game introduced Unreal Engine 5, which Fortnite upgraded to last year. The recently released trailer is showcasing some of the game’s forthcoming partnerships with franchises including The Witcher series and Doom. Epic Games published a blog post on how Fortnite benefited from the technical advancements added in Unreal Engine 5.1 shortly after the Chapter 4 teaser was released.
The most recent version of Epic Games’ exclusive creative tool, Unreal Engine 5.1, was made accessible to developers a few months ago. The update comes with a significant improvement in graphical quality and performance.
A fresh island – Fornite’s brand-new map
After the Chapter 3 finale, a new map arrives. Lots of interesting new objectives can be explored in the new map. These include:
- The Citadel – A cool-looking fortress.
- Anvil Square – Supposed to be a peaceful town in the middle of a forest.
- Brutal Bastion – A great combat area located in the snowy mountains.
- Frenzy Fields – An abandoned farm, what could go wrong here?

Reality arguments are here to help you win
Throughout the match, you’ll receive a random choice of two Reality Augments at various points. Reality Augments can offer you random weaponry, can give you the chance to redeploy your glider for the remainder of the game, allow you to drive without spending fuel, and much more.
More Reality Augments will be added to your collection the longer you last in the game, so don’t die too early!
Hurdle like a champion
In Fortnite Chapter 4, when you sprint at an obstacle, you now leap over or onto it. Use this move to catch your opponents off guard and take advantage.
To outsmart your opponents, use a clever combination of running, mantling, and hurdling.
New weapons, provisions and combatants
In addition to all of the new features, the fourth chapter comes with several new weapons which will greatly improve playstyle and a few new provisions to keep you healthy. And, did we say that Geralt of Rivia himself will join the battlegrounds later during the season? Well, we tell you now!
