Half Life 2 Episode Two, but in virtual reality
The Source VR Mod Team have been integrating VR capabilities into Half-Life 2 for the past seven months. While Episode 1 was given the VR mod last month, the first game received the upgrade last year in September. Now that Episode 2 has VR compatibility, you can follow Gordon Freeman in his adventure through his own eyes.
The mod may be downloaded from this page and is demonstrated in the trailer below. Keep in mind that for the mod to work, you must own a basic copy of the game, much like with Half-Life 2 and Episode One. You should then be able to download and play the VR mod just like any other Steam VR title as long as you have those two things and a headgear that is interoperable with Steam VR.
Are you excited about the mod? Because we certainly are. The game was released almost 16 years ago, hitting the stores in 2007. Remember the good ol’ times? Life hit differently back then.
