Looks like this is a really bad day for graphics designers and visual artists specializing in logo creations. OpenAI’s Dall-e 3 is now available via ChatGPT with some amazing design capabilities!
If you’re a ChatGPT Plus or Enterprise user, you can now access OpenAI’s latest artificial intelligence image generator DALL-E 3, which comes with some impressive design capabilities such as logo design, web design, and so much more. If you want to learn how to use DALL-E 3 in ChatGPT, read on as I will showcase some of my designs and prompts.
How to access DALL-E 3 in Chat GPT
- First, ensure you have either an Enterprise or a Plus membership before diving into the details.
- After that, access your ChatGPT account by clicking on your username in the bottom left, then access “Settings & Beta”, then “Beta Features” and make sure to have the “Plugins” feature turned on.
- The third and last step is to simply go to your ChatGPT dashboard (make sure to refresh the website after enabling the beta features) and click on GPT-4 then DALL-E 3 BETA at the very bottom.
And voila, you’re inside ChatGPT’s DALL-E 3 prompt interface. It’s time to get creative with your words and start generating designs that you’re interested in. Here are some examples of what I could achieve with just a few simple prompts and a few iterations.
DALL-E 3 logo designs
So there you have it, some impressive logo designs with intricate illustration-style drawings and details. What I’ve noticed is that DALL-E 3 tends to mess up your words on a frequent basis. For example, in the Steak House design, I asked for “Transylvania Steak House” and got something that it’s hard even to write down. I’m sure they will work on this and have it patched soon. Take into account that these are very minimalist prompts. You can go way deeper into details with styles, elements, and so much more, to create something more unique or tailor-made for your needs.
As for other types of designs and illustrations, I tried some different things to push out DALL-E 3 to its limits, and I’ve got to say, impressive results again. As someone with some experience in Midjourney, DALL-E 3 seems to be more realistic and grounded, less abstract. Something beneficial for designers and people who want to create some realistic mock-ups of places, logos, or even web designs.
Other DALL-E 3 image designs
There are a few copyright-related limitations, as DALL-E 3 will not render any trademarked elements. These can be brands, real people or places, and possibly other stuff as well. After all, even pushing DALL-E 3 to its limits by asking it to create hyper-realistic images of cats dressed as swat or a dinosaur in a Santa Claus costume making sushi, this groundbreaking AI image generator seems to be up for anything really. Your imagination is the limit!
