A new Season is about to come out for MW2, and there are plenty of goodies to unlock within.
Battle passes have become an ever-present feature in the gaming landscape, especially for games that are catered toward multiplayer. And while it does offer gamers some new objectives to strive for, the real goal is to keep them spending every few months. Alongside new maps and game modes, Season 5 will be coming out August 2 with a new shiny Battle Pass option titled BlackCell. This will basically be a premium Battle Pass variant that will offer more rewards as well as a few tier skips to help you complete it faster. Here are some of the goodies that you can unlock through the BlackCell Battle Pass:
- You will instantly receive 1100 COD Points which can be spent on cosmetics or future Battle Passes. These will carry on to upcoming COD games as well.
- A completely new BlackCell Operator named Arthur. His dog Merlin will also join you as a companion.
- Special BlackCell-only content which includes eight new Operator Skins, six Tracer Weapon Blueprints, and two new Vehicle Skins.
- Complete access to the Season 5 Battle Pass and 20 Tier Skips. Fully completing the Battle Pass will also net you a total of 1400 COD Points.
- Access to a Virtual Announcer Battle Assistant named “Gwen”.
- Any operators who will use certain BlackCell Blueprints that are marked as having Tracer Rounds will see new black and gold flourishes and other effects for those guns.
Great news for people who were eagerly awaiting the new Battle Pass, due to the 20 Tier Skips you will gain instant access to the Carrack .300 sniper rifle and the FR Avancer assault rifle.
