Though smaller than the usual Nintendo Direct fare, this recent Nintendo Indie Showcase has given us more information about some cool-looking titles.

With indie games on the Nintendo Switch attracting quite an audience, it’s only normal for Nintendo to promote these types of titles. This is why they have started the Nintendo Indie Showcase events. Let’s have a look at some of the best titles that were shown during this recent event.

Mineko’s Night Market

This adorable-looking life sim is an interesting spin on the Animal Crossing formula. You will be tasked with helping out a small village filled with plenty of activities and jobs to keep you busy. And most of those tasks will have you helping or rescuing cats. There will also be special events to take part in during the titular Night Market. Mineko’s Night Market will be coming out on September 26.

Plate Up

Even though Plate Up has already launched on PC, it’s good to see it also coming to the Nintendo Switch. Its gameplay, focused on cooperating with your partners as you run a restaurant as efficiently as possible, is a perfect fit for the Switch. Plate Up will be launching for the Nintendo Switch sometime this October.

Animal Well

This platformer was announced in 2022 and has been doing the rounds as an upcoming hit. And don’t let the 8-bit graphics fool you, there’s a lot of interesting tech hiding under the hood. Every single pixel is designed to interact with its surroundings in unique ways. The little critter you control will encounter various animals, some that might help and some that might consider you a tasty snack. Animal Well is expected for an early 2024 launch.

Blasphemous 2

Coming hot on the heels of the first title, Blasphemous 2 promises more of the same intense platforming action. This grimdark fantasy setting filled with horrible creatures and religious zealotry will again challenge your skills. Soulslike fans will be excited to try out this title when it launches this Summer.

Crime O’Clock

Fans of detective work should be excited about this upcoming title which promises some unique puzzles. Cases that you solve will interact with each other in interesting ways. And with more than 40 cases to solve, this game will keep puzzle fans occupied for quite some time. Crime O’Clock will be coming to PC and Nintendo Switch on June 30.

With multiple Nintendo Switch models available for purchase and plenty of rumors about a potential new console, Nintendo’s business is booming. This is why they are offering support to more and more indie studios to bring their titles to their consoles.
