Furthering their path to redemption for No Man’s Sky, Hello Games have just announced and launched their latest free content patch named Interceptor.

After a rocky start, No Man’s Sky has become a perfect example of how a game can develop over the years. The developers over at Hello Games have been working hard to bring multiple free content patches every year, turning the game into one of the best open-world experiences out there.

Interceptor, the latest of those content patches, adds many features to the game as well as reworking some that needed it. One of the biggest additions is a strange corruption that is slowly overtaking the universe. Corrupted planets will start popping up everywhere, containing new events and enemies to deal with. A new ship has also been added called the Interceptor. This ship features advanced Sentinel technology, which includes an Anti-Gravity Well and a Crimson Core. Players can also pick up new Sentinel Multi-Tools as well as a new Sentinel jetpack.

People who like playing No Man’s Sky in VR will also be excited about tweaks to VR including wrist interface controls and much-improved visuals. The Xbox version of the game is also getting some much-needed love regarding visual fidelity since plenty of users were complaining about it.
