The beloved Pokemon Stadium is making its entrance to Nintendo Switch Online Next Week!
Pokemon Stadium, one of the most treasured Pokemon games on the N64, will finally be joining Nintendo’s Switch Online portfolio later this month. To play N64 games as part of the service, you must have the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack, so if you want to play a few games of Pokemon Stadium, consider upgrading.
When is Pokemon Stadium hitting the store?
The game will be available to Switch Online subscribers on April 12.
Everyone who grew up with an N64 will feel a surge of nostalgia when they see the new teaser that Nintendo released to promote the inclusion of this game. You can play all of the elements from the original game, including the renowned minigames, Gym Leader Castle, and cup contests, but the Nintendo Switch Online edition also offers 4-player online combat so you can compete against friends or family.
Pokemon fans are hopeful that this isn’t the final Pokemon game to be included in Nintendo’s throwback lineup. The newly released Game Boy and Game Boy Advance emulators have fans of the series hoping that some of the retro games like Emerald, FireRed & LeafGreen, and Gold & Silver will also be made accessible at some later date, in addition to Pokemon Stadium 2, which I’m sure lots of people are hoping to see as well.
