Got a secret key in PUBG’s Taego map and don’t know where to head now. This guide will point you in the right direction to the nearest Taego secret room location.
Check out our other PUBG secret room locations guides:
In total, there are 12 secret rooms located on PUBG’s North-Korean-inspired map, Taego. Before you set foot in one of these secret room locations, you will need a secret key, which does not have a specific location as they are spread randomly across the map where you can find normal loot.
Taego secret room locations
PUBG’s Taego secret room locations are a bunch of old-looking houses with an artistic painting on the wall that opens up a weapons and gear stash. Inside you can expect crate-level weapons such as the MG3, Groza, AWM, and many more. Apart from the crate weapons, you will find some premium loot like the Emergency Pickup balloon, Self AED (self-revive kit), Adrenaline Syringe, M79 (smoke pistol), level 2 armour and many more normal weapons and ammo.
These Taego secret room locations tend to attract a lot of players as you can actually get inside the secret buildings without a key. The secret key only opens up the weapon stash wall, not the whole building. There have been many instances where players without a secret room key will camp in these houses with the door closed in the hopes that somebody might bring them the key. With that being said, I always like to throw in a stun grenade before clearing the inside of the secret room buildings.
Blue circle
The big turquoise or blue circle on Taego (present in the top right corner of the map guide above) is actually an area where weapons from other maps will spawn. DMRs and ARs like the QBU, and QBZ from Sanhok or the MP5K from Vikendi will be present inside these turquoise circles. Sometimes, there can be more areas like these spread throughout the map (up to 3).
These blue circles with stay present and do not move by any means throughout the match so if you’re interested in weapons from other maps the blue circles on Taego are the place for you to visit.
Release date
The Taego map was released on July 7 2021 for the PC and on July 15 for consoles as Krafton mentions in their PUBG UPDATE 12.2 patch notes here.
Comeback arena
With the launch of Taego back in 2021, a brand new comeback arena (gulag) was introduced, probably inspired by Call of Duty Warzone’s Gulag comeback, only here, there isn’t a 1v1 situation but instead, everybody who dies in the first 7 minutes of the match will be spawned in the comeback arena, or the Comeback BR as it’s officially named.
The rule is, at least one of your teammates should remain alive in order for you to get to the gulag. This comeback system only works for Duos and Squads.
