Once again, PUBG listened to player feedback and modified the game-changing critical hit perc of the Dragunov in order to maintain fair and simulated gameplay.

After the whole Dragunov debacle last month, where they added the brand-new DMR weapon to the test servers in patch 25.1 (the big Miramar update), PUBG decided to remove the Dragunov from the game due to player feedback. Players were worried that the new weapon stats would unbalance the flow of the game. Just as a reminder, the new Dragunov DMR had a critical hit chance of 73, damage powerful enough to knock or kill a player through a level 2 helmet.

Now, for patch 25.2, PUBG added the Dragunov back in the game, this time on the live servers as well. The live server update will see the light of day on September 6, 12 AM – 8:30 AM (UTC) for the PC, and September 14, 1 AM – 9 AM (UTC) for consoles. After listening closely to the player feedback, PUBG decided to nerf down the Dragunov DMR and give it some basic and fair stats just like all the other weapons in the game. Now with a fixed damage of 60, the newly added Russian designated marksman rifle can be found on all maps as world-spawn, and be available in all game modes. Here are the full details for the Dragunov DMR.

PUBG Dragunov stats

  • Weapon type: Designated Marksman Rifles (DMR)

With the updated stats, the Dragunov DMR stands at the very top of world-loot DMR weapons, with a damage of 60 points per shot, just a point below the all-mightly Mk14, which is a crate-weapon as we all know, with a damage of 61. Under the Dragunov in the DMR weapon tier list, the next in line is the SLR, with a damage of 56. For the full weapon details list, check out the PUBG weapons tier list guide article.
