Time to guide the Stray cat on other consoles. The game is coming to Xbox soon.

After almost a year since Stray’s launch on the PlayStation, it seems like we will be able to play it on the Xbox as well. Since Stray, the wandering cat game developed by Annapurna recently received an Xbox rating, people that own the PlayStation’s competitor platform will probably soon be able to play it too.

The game was rated as E for Everyone 10+, with ESRB adding that the game features animated blood and violence. Exactly in their words: “Players sometimes encounter parasitic blobs/mice-like bots that can attack and kill the cat. Players can access a UV light to defeat the mice-like bots, causing them to explode and emit splashes of coloured liquid”.

The mice can then be made to explode using a UV light, and even though the liquid inside of them isn’t red, the ESRB seems to think it’s blood. There is currently no information available on the exact date of release of Stray for Xbox. The most plausible date for the Xbox launch might be on July 19, the same day that it was released on PlayStation. Based on previous experiences and game launches, there is a high probability that the game will be added to the Game Pass.

We will most likely have Stray on Xbox Game Pass

To be honest, a game that has been accessible elsewhere for a year already will almost certainly receive the Game Pass treatment. This is because Xbox is far more friendly when it comes to giving free new games as part of its subscription service. After Redfall’s bumpy debut (you can check out the Redfall bugs here for a fun read) Xbox needs a victory in that area right now.

As the journey to Starfield goes on, Game Pass subscribers may find Stray to be a nice diversion. Since Redfall’s entrance, the pressure to be a candidate for game of the year has significantly increased. There’s a good chance Starfield completes the task successfully, and Xbox owners will be pardoned for the fairly fruitless two years they’ve spent waiting for exclusives. One of the developers working on Starfield obviously believes it will be if they already have a tattoo of something from the game on their body. Something that is theoretically a spoiler and which they are not yet permitted to reveal.

That, however, remains to be seen. Until then, why don’t you give our list of the best single-player games you can try in 2023 a try? We promise that the stories are incredibly good and you will find yourself busy for some hours until you can enjoy Stray on the Xbox.
