The mythological hunting game The Axis Unseen dropped some new gameplay at the Future Games Show.
The Axis Unseen is a game developed by a veteran Skyrim developer
At the Future Game Show: Spring Showcase, Nate Purkeypile, the founder and only employee of Just Purkey Games, unveiled a brand-new trailer for his heavy metal bow-hunting game The Axis Unseen. The game’s new biomes and a release window of sometime in 2024 were both hinted at in the teaser.
The popular sneak attack archer dude playstyle is basically the focus of the game, which creates an entire open-world game around its abilities. Purkeypile’s title appears to be a much more immersive simulation than an RPG, with a strong focus on stealth outside of straightforward line-of-sight mechanics.
The hunter is seen going through increasingly fantastical-looking locations, replete with twisted trees, strange sculptures, and the skeletons of creatures that are neither suggestive of man nor beast. Some creatures look like The Wicher‘s leshian. A guitar-driven soundtrack supports the action throughout. The Axis Unseen’s soundtrack is composed by Clifford Meyer and it will alter dynamically to what’s happening while you play. The game mechanics include magic enhancements like fire and wind arrows and are also teased in the game’s latest video.
The game is supposed to release sometime in 2024, we really want to see how the development of this title goes because it has a lot of potential! Good luck in future development, Nate!
