Naughty Dog pushes a hotfix for the Last of Us PC version due to major struggling.

The Last of Us PC patch tries to solve things

The Last of Us on PC has officially been released, and Steam reviews for the Naughty Dog survival game now are pretty bad, with gamers citing many performance, loading, and shader-related difficulties. The Last of Us’ technical faults have previously been addressed via a dedicated support website, but Naughty Dog has just released a fresh patch that addresses some of the game’s most obvious flaws.

On March 30, a fresh The Last of Us update was released with the intention of fixing some of the horror game’s most significant issues. According to Naughty Dog, the update is targeted towards stability and a few smaller issues.

The update addressed various speed and hitch-related issues impacting certain users, according to the developer. It also included more crash diagnostic information to aid in diagnosing shader-building-related crashes and other often observed stability concerns.

They also mentioned this: “The team is closely watching player reports and actively working on a patch with more bugfixes, to be released soon”, meaning the game should improve soon. But that remains to be seen.

If you haven’t had the chance yet, you can check The Last of Us PC Part 1 system requirements, to see if you can run it. However, the requirements are a bit high, and the game is kinda badly optimized. We really hope this will get fixed soon.
