The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Next-Gen Update Looks Amazing!
The 2015 winner of the Game of The Year and Best RPG awards, and probably one of the best games ever made, is about to get even better! As we can see in the trailer its publisher just posted, the game will benefit from massive updates.
The gameplay footage posted by CD Projekt Red confirms the Next-Gen update will be breathtaking. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt game, officially released in 2015, will receive an update for all of the existing versions for Playstation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. On top of that, the update will be completely free for the players who already own the game.
What does the Next-Gen update contain?
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt game will benefit from the following improvements:
- Enhanced Visuals like Ray Tracing, improved reflections, FSR and DLSS support;
- Camera, User Interface and Control changes, including a Quick Sign Casting option;
- Photo Mode, a few community-made mods and quest fixes;
- A brand new Netflix DLC.
For console players, the new Quality and Performance modes will offer the choice to switch between a visually pleasing 30fps experience and a 60fps performance gameplay. If you’re a Playstation 5 owner, you can also benefit from the DualSense haptic feedback experience.
The Witcher fans have already started studying the trailer to see what other things CD Projekt Red upgraded. The world looks more detailed indeed and several other improvements can be observed, like a brand-new map filter, the option to auto-hide the minimap during combat, cross-save between platforms and the amazing Netflix-inspired costumes for Yen, Ciri and Tris.
When will the Next-Gen Update be released?
CD Projekt Red’s brand-new update arrives on December 14, happily just in time to spend your holidays with Geralt. On top of all that, CD Projekt Red announced that they will post a more detailed list containing all of the updates closer to the release date.
The Witcher 3 Next-Gen Update system requirements
Although no official requirements were made public by CD Project Red so far, we can assume that they will be beefier than the original ones, given the fact that the game received graphical enhancements like; high-res textures and models and lots graphical improvements.
